Stephen delivers one of the great sermons of the book of acts. It’s a sweeping overview of the Old Testament and of God’s faithfulness to a people who aren’t faithful to him. Stephen was a man full of God’s grace and power and with an abundance of wisdom. You can’t help but wonder if his angelic appearance is a way of Luke explaining how thoroughly this man had been transformed into the likeness of Christ.
