Series Overview

We will be looking at the Gospel of Matthew through the lens of the disciples, being apprentices of Jesus. We will observe their change over the duration of Jesus’ ministry and how he invested in them, lead them, directed them, taught them and, was an example for them to follow… ultimately then to commission and send them (for a final time).

In Matthew, Jesus breaks down religious traditions and ways of thinking. These are surface-level behaviours which are all about how you look to other people. Jesus calls that out for what it is: soulless hypocrisy. Across his teaching, Jesus calls us to drop the act and to be transformed from the inside out.
